If you have ever come across the great work of director Martin Scorsese then you will know that this was by far his best movie and the opinions will differ whether it is "Mean Streets", "Taxi Driver", "The Departed" or "Casino" that rivals it but in truth are not in the same league. Ray Liotta is fantastic and truely delivers his greatest performance admirably supported by the great Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. To be honest those who prefer "The Godfather" to this need to wake up and smell the roses because this is the ultimate mobster/gangster movie.....WHY???? because i spend my time hating on this genre still this is one of those only films that will have me mesmorised from start to finish....a true masterpiece. Simply the best gangster film ever made. A must see!

I used to watch this film with my father when i was younger. But i forgot just how good of a film it is! De Niro, Liotta and Pesci are great through out! strong story which never gets boring, its a semi fictional story based upon Henry Hill. A must buy, best gangster film ever!
